Senior Sous Chef - KZN

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our vibrant & energetic team. In short we need an vibrant, energetic, motivated team player that is keen to get involved and is able to lead a team that is striving for perfection. Prime Objective of Job: Ensuring excellent customer service at all times Overall assistance with management of the lodges kitchen and meals. Core Competencies of the Job: Day to Day Operation of the Kitchen. Dealing with suppliers and any individual that needs assistance from management when head chef is off. Ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Ensure Kitchen is aware of upcoming dietary requirements or any additional events in advance Assisting the lodge manager with weekly menu planning Able to work on their own Assisting with Hosting during meals( ensuring guest satisfaction at all times) Standards – ensuring the set standards of the lodge are met at all times. Guest happiness is key Employer or management may require other tasks to be done not listed in this description. Ensuring any maintenance issues are dealt with. This should in no way effect a guest Stock: Stock levels are to be kept at an adequate level, in order to maximize profit and minimize wastage. Bearing in mind at all times our guests need. Essentials: Fully Vacinated for Covid. Ability / willingness to Learn Able to assist head chef with given tasks Able to take instruction from head chef Team Player Ability to work under pressure and be list/task orientated. Min of 1 years’ experience at a similar establishment and position is preferred. (We need some one who has 5 star lodge experience.) Strong pastry skills is an advantage Salary: Salary R8’000.00 – R 11’000.00 (negotiable) Package – Live in: inclusive of Accommodation, Meals on duty, Lights & Water, DSTV, Maid Service and Laundry Service, Uniforms annually, Cycle – 3 weeks on and 1 week off/month
